There are no cutting corners in creating long-lasting quality, and no priority greater than creating our products sustainably and considerately.
We are far from having this “thing” all figured out! however we are always trying our best and learning as we go.
Here’s where we are:
Our products are made in India. Where our factory partner run off 100% renewable energy, provided by solar panels. Also saving each and every water drop by their ETP/STP Plant: that’s Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is a mechanism or process used to treat the wastewater prior to release into the environment or it’s reuse. Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater.
Our supply chain is GOTs certified: that’s the Global Organic Textile Standard. It’s a certification process that makes sure things are produced ethically, sustainably, and to the highest possible quality.
Our factory partner is also Oeko-Tex certified, meaning that our fabrics are tested regularly and rigorously to ensure that there are no harmful chemicals present.
Our factory partner is Sedex: that’s the Supplier Ethical Data Exchanged. Is an online system that allows suppliers to maintain data on ethical and responsible practices and allows them to share this information with us.
Our factory partner empowers women through inclusive development. They work closely with audited local artisans for hand work (i.e., beading, hand embroidery, etc.) They conduct seminars and events for general awareness. They provide kind working environments for their workers.
On the recycling front, we use eco-friendly packaging from noissue.com The poly bags that the goods initially arrive in are oxo-biodegradable.
Our products are shipped to our wholesale partners in reusable or recyclable boxes.
We are currently working on finding natural buttons that are sustainable. Stay tune as we pilot through the search.
